Manitowoc Ultimate Frisbee Concern

The Manitowoc Park & Rec Dept has granted us the gym for a 10-week
spring session, from March 24 to May 26.  This is on WEDNESDAYS, not
Thursdays anymore.  Also, the sessions will be 3 hours now instead of
just 2.  Sessions are from 7pm-10pm.

Another big change is going to be cost.  In order to remove a major
hassle each night, the MPRD has decided to require pre-registration
and payment for the entire season.  The spring season will cost $29.
You must have all paperwork and payment at the MPRD office or sign up
online before you can play.  This helps the staff with not having to
count money and chase people down each night.  The cost is a little
higher, but we're getting an extra hour each night, so it's less than
$1 per hour to play some sweet indoor.

Second big change with cost is that the MUFC has decided that it can
only cover the cost of Manitowoc county students.  It simply doesn't
have the funds to keep covering everyone from Sheboygan as it has
been, largely due to having to cancel the 2009 ManHat tournament.
Hopefully you Sheboygan students can still make it, but you'll have to
pay your own way for now.

The current (winter) season will end on Thurs March 18.  After that
we'll be switching to March 24.

UPDATE: The indoor ultimate Spring session registration is now available
online.  It is course #10886 in the MPRD eConnect system.  Hopefully
this link will take you right there:

You need to register with the system if you haven't already.  If you
have registered online for the summer hat tournament, this is the same
system and you'll already have an account.  Once registered you can
sign up for the course and pay by credit card.  I believe that signing
up online is also an implicit agreement to the liability waiver, but
I'll have to confirm that when I sign up.
